In the context of the exhibition “Memories” this course, with the artist Reiny Rizzi-Gruhlke, offers a general introduction to hand embroidery for interested people without previous knowledge. Those who have already had their first experiences in embroidery will be instructed here how to convert their own ideas into embroidery technique and how to use the old craft as an artistic design tool. In this workshop, a textile book is sewn by hand from fabric remnants, the individual pages are designed with fabric collages and hand embroidery.
