The activity report presents the activities of the Upper Sûre Nature Park over one year, based on the areas of action as set out in the Nature Park’s mission statement. The everyday tasks (taking initiatives, counselling, information, support) are also covered here, since the full role the Nature Park plays vis-à-vis local and regional actors cannot be neglected.
The indicator report presents the results of the Upper Sûre Nature Park’s work based on 26 indicators – corresponding to the areas of action laid down by law. It presents the measures taken by the Nature Park over one year, along with the direct and indirect effects, the role of the Park, its partners, the time-related dimensions of the measures, the reference documents about the aims of the corresponding measures, as well as additional information.
"Loscht op Natur" (in the mood for nature) is an initiative of the Ecological Service, the Biological Station and the Rivers Contract of the Upper Sûre Nature Park. The aim is to prepare a series of information sheets on various nature-related topics and thus to give the population an opportunity to discover and experience nature.
We started off with the magazine “Eisen Naturpark”, which was the original edition of our newspaper about current topics and events in the Upper Sûre Nature Park. With the joint project “Naturpark2” run by the Upper Sûre and Our Nature Park administrations, the newspaper appeared twice before the Mëllerdall Nature Park participated in the production of the regional magazine “Naturpark3”. This is a joint initiative of all three Luxembourg nature parks, in which the parks take stock of past projects, present new projects and keep readers informed about life in the park in general, such as about the environment, culture, new energies and social and economic issues.
