As part of the ” European Heritage Days “, the Öewersauer Nature Park and the National Liberation Memorial a.s.b.l. invite you to discover a national place of remembrance. The Schumannseck preserves the traces of the Battle of the Bulge. From 27 December 1944 to 21 January 1945, American soldiers fought here against the German army.

The trail is in the midst of remains that are still visible today, such as foxholes, trenches and bomb craters. Along the trail are silhouettes made from original photographs taken at the time of the battle.
